charKOL at Bukit Timah Studio, Singapore

Out of the three art spaces that we were supporting during the period from 2008 through to 2011, this was the last art space that we had to give up in 2011. We were able to support the development and offering of charKOL KID, a fine art education classes for children, and also supporting children making art and having a voice in community projects.

Again, I have purposefully retained the description in present tense as it was originally written, to enable an authentic reflection of our heart hopes.

  1. I am writing to you on behalf of the Singapore Committee for UN Women.

I came across your organisation and would like to congratulate you on the work you are doing and invite you to apply for Project Inspire.

Launched in 2011 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of International Women’s Day and the 25th anniversary of MasterCard in Asia/Pacific, Middle East and Africa, “Project Inspire: 5 minutes to change the world” is a global challenge that presents 18-35 year olds with a 5-minute platform to pitch their inspired idea to the world.

Project Inspire 2015 will take on the theme of ‘Technology or Design for Economic Empowerment’. Applicants will be asked to demonstrate how they use design or technology as a tool in the work they are doing to enable and empower women economically throughout Asia, the Pacific, Middle East & Africa.

You can access the application form via our website. Applications are closing on 1 July 2015.

If your organisation does not meet our entry requirements at this time, please keep us in mind for future years and let others in your network know about Project Inspire!

We look forward to hearing from you.

    Warm regards,

    Olivia Allaway

    The Project Inspire Team
